Challenge
i-maritime wanted this report to be comprehensive report on the Indian port sector, extensively covering the activities of all major and minor ports in the country. It was important to analyze and bring forward the issues of various stakeholders in the industry.
Modus Operandi
Comprehensive review of the developments in the Indian port sector over the last ten years of port reforms was done. The challenges faced by port reformers and investors were brought out through interviews and thus developed a macro level understanding and awareness of functional and structural issues catering to wide cross section of professionals including port regulator, port developers, port operators, bank and financial institutions and other logistics service providers.
i-maritime Proposition
The report identified common issues in development of the port sector and attempted to bridge the existing gap between demand for well-researched and structured information resource and unavailability and lack of such study in the port sector. Success Story This more than 200 pages comprehensive document was distributed almost freely to various people in maritime industry and was applauded for the time and effort put into the report for the benefit of the industry.
